An integrated information system for a modern pizzeria

LaPrizza brings the restaurant's product catalogue, allergens, pizza configuration, customers, stock, orders and kitchen planning into one system, with a web application, a REST API, interactive 3D views and AI-assisted preparation scheduling.

What the system covers

Each area is part of a single solution built on a shared domain model, so a pizza configured in 3D, an order taken on the web and a schedule produced by the planner all talk about the same products, sizes and components.

ARQSI · LAPR5

Web application

The main interface for staff and customers: identity and access, customers and dietary restrictions, products and allergens, stock, pizza configuration and orders.

ARQSI · LAPR5

Core REST API

A domain-driven back end that owns the business rules and exposes them to the web, 3D and planning modules through versioned endpoints.

SGRAI

Build Your Pizza in 3D

Pick a size, start from a predefined pizza such as a Margherita and add, remove or swap components while the model, price and allergens update live.

SGRAI

Kitchen visualisation

A 3D view of the kitchen showing how preparation activities are allocated to ovens and other resources, and how they progress over time.

IART

Preparation scheduling

A Prolog planner that sequences assembly and baking across the available resources, aiming to cut waiting times and keep the kitchen busy.

ASIST

Infrastructure and operations

Repeatable deployment, restricted administrative access, audit logging, automated backups with retention, and tested recovery procedures.

Technology

A monorepo with automated tests on every push and a continuous integration pipeline guarding the main branch.

Roadmap

Three sprints, each ending in a working and integrated minimum viable product.

  1. Sprint 114 Sep to 25 Oct 2026
Project foundation, core domain model, architectural baseline and the first back-end increment.
  2. Sprint 226 Oct to 22 Nov 2026
Second MVP iteration, extending the catalogue and configuration features and integrating the web application with the API.
  3. Sprint 323 Nov to 20 Dec 2026
Third iteration: integration and consolidation across web, 3D, AI and infrastructure.
  4. Final assessment4 to 7 Jan 2027
Assessment of the integrated solution across all participating course units.
